Yusen Logistics Response. "Speaking up because of reviews" I have been working at Yusen Logistics full-time. Good company from global view. Friendly people. Good benefits package. The reviews on here are being talked about in the office. I would like to offer my opinion. This office has had ups and downs over the years. We have survived. What is the problem right now is the new managers and their actions. The office recently hired a branch manager from a competitor. Change can be good. Shortly after a few office managers were fired and replaced with former coworkers of the new manager. Some of these new managers were very unqualified for the positions (no manager experience at all). This caused concern obviously. Announcement was made to whole office that the company was not doing well and there would need to be layoffs to save money (very understandable). They started laying off people and at the same time hiring more ex coworkers of the new managers for special positions. They also remodeled the office. It was not needed especially if we're trying to save money. Many people are not happy We don't want to lose their jobs to more of management's friends. Alot are quiting. For example one of the new managers comes in late everyday, is never at their desk, leaves on time or early, and takes long weekends (working from phone). The employees end up working overtime because there is too much work. The new group of managers are very often meeting in private. Also there are many people taking alot of breaks (smoking) and other problems. No bonus this year. Advice to Management. It took online reviews to get attention at the office. Please look into complaints. Give employees a chance to speak up without punishment from new managers. This company is very large. Do not a few bad people ruin it. Managers should know all the work inside and out. They need to set a better example for the team.
