Air Force LOGISTICS PLANS - What is it? Logistics Planners are responsible for putting plans in place to move people, cargo and any military asset needed downrange.

In short, whether you are shipping a pallet of equipment, a team of people or a squadron of aircraft and all associated materiel off on a deployment. the planners figure out how to get it there with as little airlift support as possible, as soon as possible. I used to have my office next door to Log-Plans, and they had a sign over the door: "When it absolutely - positively has to get anywhere. we get it done!" That explains what a Logistics Planner does in a nutshell. Now. as a former 20-year USAF veteran and now employee of the US Navy, I have been outside the fence and can tell you with absolute assuredness. ANY job is better than no job, and right now there are over 14 MILLION people out of work.

If the USAF is willing to give you a job and keep you employed, I sincerely urge you to say thank you and take it. You are lucky in that they just didn't decide to push you out the gate (no offense) since they are looking to shed bodies. Obviously they see potential in you and don't want to lose your talents. Think before you leap. Its a pretty good job. Not like telling zoomies where to go, but you still are important and play a solid role in the mission. Thank you for your service.
