All-Hazards Logistics Section Chief (L967) January 22-26, 2018 State Emergency Operations Center (SEOC)-Rooms 118/119 Boone National Guard Center 100 Minuteman Parkway, Building 110 Frankfort, KY 40601. Offered in Partnership By: Kentucky Division of Emergency Management (KYEM) & Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) Course Description: This course provides local- and state-level emergency responders with a robust understanding of the duties, responsibilities, and capabilities of an effective Logistics Section Chief on an All-Hazards Incident Management Team (AHIMT). These responsibilities fall into two categories: responding to the incident and effectively fulfilling the position responsibilities of a Logistics Section Chief on an AHIMT. Exercises, simulations, discussions, and a final exam enable participants to process and apply their new knowledge. Student Criteria: Local- or State-level emergency responders who may be designated as Logistics Section Chief on their local or state Incident Management Team. NIMS ICS specific training should be completed by personnel who are regularly assigned to function, support, or unit leader positions on USFA or other Type III or IV AHIMT or by those persons who desire to seek credentials/certification in those positions. Prerequisites include:  IS-100.b, Introduction to the ICS  IS-200.b, ICS for Single Resources and Initial Incidents  ICS-300, Intermediate ICS for Expanding Incidents  IS-700.a, National Incident Management System (NIMS), an Introduction  IS-800.b, National Response Framework (NRF)  ICS-400, Advanced ICS, Command and General Staff-Complex Incidents.

Recommended Prerequisites:  O-305 Type 3 AHIMT Training course (USFA or equivalent) PLEASE NOTE: If you are unable to find your course completion certificates, a transcript from EMI will be accepted as proof of completion. You may request a transcript from EMI at the Independent Study website (https://training.fema.gov/IS/). Once completed, copies of your course completion certificates must be provided on or before the beginning date of class. Individuals who present themselves for training without having provided the required documentation will not be admitted as a student to the class. Special Notes: A maximum of thirty (30) students will be accepted for this course. Advanced registration is REQUIRED and must be received by December 4, 2017. The registration process includes:  Registration on the KYEM Training Registration site; www.kyem.ky.gov/training, find the course and click on “Register”  Completion and submission of the FEMA 119-25-1 Student Registration Form; and.  Submission of copies of the prerequisite documents. Lodging and all other travel arrangements/expenses are the responsibility of the student and will NOT be reimbursed by KYEM. You will receive an email confirming that you have been officially accepted for the course after receipt and review of your application and supporting documents. Students will be notified if the course is cancelled. For this reason, it is imperative that you provide accurate contact information.
