From the President's Desk. In my experience of more than 25 years in this industry, I have had a few learnings of my own. We are living in an age of “VUCA times”. VUCA generally stands for – Volatility, uncertainty, complexity and ambiguity. However, due to the dynamic nature of world which we are living in, the new VUCA should be – Vulnerability, ulterior, contradictory and abnegation: * Vulnerability – One cannot reduce vulnerability, a smart company is the one which can make plans to make themselves less vulnerable to external and unpredictable factors * Ulteriority – To survive in this ultra-competitive environment we need to see the bigger picture. Everything is a subset of some master set, and hence the master set should shape our actions * Contradictory – Every innovative idea invites contradictions. We need to have the reasoning and the planning to tackle the contradiction * Abnegation – Self-denial is the biggest liability. As it is said, to win over one-self is the biggest victory, we need to convince ourselves of our vision and mission before our team and clients.
