DHL provides Sequenced Transport Solution for Faurecia. Sequenced delivery of Range Rover door interiors from Fradley Park manufacturing plant to JLR Solihull Builds on DHL’s existing relationship with Faurecia, supporting its Banbury manufacturing plant. DHL Supply Chain has signed a new contract with Faurecia to provide sequenced deliveries of Range Rover door interiors from the tier 1 supplier’s manufacturing plant in Fradley, Staffordshire to the Jaguar Land Rover advanced manufacturing plant in Solihull. Following the Solihull plant’s move to 24 hour production earlier this year, to meet increasing global demand, Faurecia was tasked with developing a new logistics solution to guarantee parts delivery trackside, at the right time and in the right sequence.

In response, DHL now operates three 7.5t vehicles, providing sequenced loads to the plant every 60 minutes. To ensure security and guaranteed delivery, each vehicle is fitted with ‘track and trace’ technology to monitor progress and alert [who] of any delays which could affect production, while all drivers have been trained to comply with Jaguar Land Rover safety standards when on site.
