"Full Time Driver" I have been working at XPO Logistics full-time (More than 10 years) None in the ATL office. I worked for Conway for years until they were acquired in 2016 by XPO. I worked in a previous state and then transferred to GA and the Atlanta hub. This place is basically a slave ship. You cannot get time off if your child is sick, if your wife is in labor, or if a family member dies. Even though I have committed OVER 15 YEARS to the same company, I have no seniority due to the transfer and am last to select vacation days--meaning that after 15+ years of loyalty to a company it is impossible to get time off. All of the "more senior employees" (many of which have worked fewer years than me for the company) take all of the days. I request a full week off and am told I can only have 2 days despite having over a month of vacation days .The system is completely opaque. There is no calendar showing the available open days to try and it is impossible to plan any type of vacation, family time, or deal with sick family members. If an emergency comes up and you don't come in you get a "penalty". (Example: An employee's wife was in labor and he was told he had to come in still. He chose to be with his wife and was hit with a penalty-he quit a week later). This company does not value its employees or have an ounce of humanity. And the most egregious offense is that employees work over 40 hours a week WITH NO OVERTIME. Stay away from this company (or at least the Atlanta office) and drive for a company with a sense of decency and humanity! Advice to Management. 1) If someone transfers offices, they should not lose seniority. 20+ years of service, loyalty, and good work should mean something. 2) Make the system fair--if my kid is sick and I have over 1 month of vacation, I should not get penalized for taking time off or calling in sick myself--this is nonsense! 3) And most importantly--employees working over 40 hours should get overtime and are entitled to time-and-a-half. You all should be ashamed of yourselves!
