Construction Career Fairs.
The Myers-Lawson School of Construction Career Fair is held twice a year. The Construction Internship and Career Fair provides construction industry and engineering professionals the opportunity to meet students for career employment, summer internships, and co-op opportunities. Who Should Attend? Any company dealing with construction (residential through commercial, industrial, highway, land development and specialty contractors) and/or civil engineering design should find this career fair worthwhile. Employers who are more interested in civil engineering design may want to attend the Civil and Environmental Engineering Career Fair. All students interested in working in these areas are invited attend the fair. No pre-registration is necessary. Additionally, students can create an account and upload their resumes for industry review. The primary student attendees are from the Department of Building Construction, the Construction Engineering and Management Program in the MLSoC, and Civil & Environmental Engineering, General Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Systems Engineering, Real Estate, and Architecture. Career Fair Social Sponsorship Opportunities. A social is held after the exhibitor day for each career fair. This provides an opportunity for the students and the company representatives to interact in a more relaxed setting and to get to know each other better. This networking opportunity is invaluable to our students. The sponsorship opportunities are listed below: Silver Sponsor $1000- Includes company logo displayed on banner, mention in the advertising flyer for the social and availability of space for company materials to be available to attendees. Gold Sponsor $2500- Includes company banner to be displayed at the social, company logo on banner, availability of space for company materials to be available to attendees and mention in the advertising flyer.
