Executive Certificate in Logistics Management. 1½-Month Part-Time SkillsFuture-Approved. Course Objective. This Executive Certificate course equips students with the knowledge and practices of an integrated approach towards logistics operations in an organisation. This specialised course comprises TWO modules: an online module on Integrated Logistics Management (ILM) and a Skills Project on Logistics Management. The ILM module covers key topics on integration of logistics operations with functions of procurement, warehousing and transportation. The Skills Project module requires students to apply the knowledge gained on ILM and work on a project for effective logistics management of an organisation. Topics for ILM Module. 1. Integrated Approach to Logistics Operations. 2. Integrating Procurement with Logistics. 3. Integrating Warehousing with Logistics. 4. Integrating Transportation with Logistics. 5. Current Logistics Trends. Course Duration & Frequency. This part-time course can be completed within six weeks, comprising 18 contact hours and about 18 non-contact hours. The course is intensive and requires students to attend class sessions once a week. Faculty & Mode of Delivery. The executive certificate course in logistics management incorporates a blended learning mode, where students attend lectures and undertake online learning through recorded videos. Our faculty comprises highly experienced practitioners with the post-graduate academic and professional qualifications. The mode of delivery for ILM module is online learning. The Skills Project module is facilitated through class sessions and conducted in phases where students are guided to work on an approved project until completion. Students are expected to make use of relevant websites for the purposes of learning and working on the project. Admission Criteria. An applicant must be at least 18 years old; and must have at least one year of work experience; with a language proficiency of English at GCE ‘N’ level. Those without the qualification criterion, but have acquired two years of work experience may be considered on a case-by-case basis, subject to approval by the Academic Board.
