Logistics involve the integration of TD&L’s sub-sectors, including information, transportation, inventory control and management, warehousing, material-handling, and packaging. Logistics Technicians and Associates are important occupations that ensure smooth and efficient material-handling and packaging. A supply chain is the group of materials, goods and services needed to take a company’s product or service through to the end-consumer. Supply Chain Specialists strive to create and manage the efficient and economic flow of activities within an organization’s supply chain and managing the value that it adds. Purchasing materials and services on time and on budget throughout the supply chain are important contributions to organizations’ business success. CCBC has courses in supply chain management and can prepare you to earn important industry credentials in purchasing and supply management. Transportation. The Diesel Technician program is offered. This 300-hour course prepares students for entry into the Diesel Technician career pathway. Also known as Diesel Mechanic training, this course teaches you the skills that operators of tractor trailer, bus or heavy equipment fleets need to help them keep their equipment running and operating safely. Warehousing. Warehousing operations perform a variety of functions and a wide menu of services. They require a variety of occupations.
