We provide end-to-end rail-related logistics and engineering services (and everything in between). How We Do It. Since 2001, we have combined our logistics and engineering expertise to serve North America’s largest railroads, manufacturers and energy companies. Logistics & Engineering Expertise. Wind Logistics. Transportation Technology Services has touched more wind turbines than any other logistics company in North America. We manage between 7,000 to 8,000 wind-related rail shipments each year, including nacelles, hubs, blades and towers. Project Cargo. Leveraging our extensive wind-related experience and resources, TTS also transports project cargo (such as generators and turbines) and provides turnkey project management solutions for all types of dimensional shipments. Distribution Centers. TTS has operated close to 30 rail-adjacent distribution centers (DCs) and remote DCs during the past 8 years. We know the pros and cons of various locations, their intricacies and how the transport pieces connect and impact a DC site’s bottom line. Engineering Services. At TTS, one of our core competencies is engineering design. Our experienced, in-house engineering team - including 3 professional engineers (PEs) - provides customized railcar design, load configurations and securement design services. This car was originally designed for certain General Electric, ABB, and Westinghouse transformers.
