He mainly conducts the financial matters with diversified activities where accounting functions play an important role not only in financial matters, but also in the welfare and inter-personal relationships which have a direct bearing on the morale of the Air Force and its officers. As an officer in the Accounts Branch, you are responsible for efficient management of funds as well as disbursement of pay and allowances to Air Force personnel. You will also act as internal auditor to ensure a zero-defect audit from outside agencies. Logistics Branch : As an officer in the logistics department, one undertakes material and resources management of all Air Force resources around the country. As per requirements the logistics officer supplies clothing to aircraft equipment, you will ensure efficient supervision of inventories and availability of necessary items to all operators and users A Logistics Officer is also responsible for the logistic support in IAF. He is responsible for provisioning of aircraft spares, mechanical transport, fuel, armament and explosives, flying and other clothing items, rations and other items essential for day to day running of the organization and sustaining its manpower. The Logistic Officer, by making use of the latest material management techniques, accomplishes the onerous task of supply management efficiently and in a cost effective manner.
