Working at Target as an Overnight Flow/Logistics Team Member? Best Answer: I just happen to work at Target and have the same job as you! While it MAY depend on the store, here's what my job requires me to do/my night usually goes (in order): 1. Sort the products on the line and place them in their respective boards to be sent to the specific location and isle. (Usually takes us an hour depending on how many people we have and the size/number of trucks and products. We usually get around 3,500 products and two trucks.) 2. After the sorting is done, someone (you may do this) then takes each board and sends them out to each isle where we then start stocking the products. We also collect any backstock and send that back to be stored away. 3. A 15 minute break is then given, and we usually have pizza, pop, and other wonderful food and then we have a pep rally where our supervisors let us know how we're doing, and what needs to be done. 4. We then return back and finish stocking whatever is left in the store. 5. Depending on your hours, you may or may not be told to take a lunch. (I work from 10-6 so I get two breaks and a lunch.) 6. Last part is usually just cleaning up any garbage, cleaning up the store for the morning team to come in. Now, I also have a few tips! 1. You're going to get tired EASY. Make sure to eat food high in energy and drink plenty of fluids! Also make sure to get PLENTY of rest! 2. You will also have to stock frozen food. So make sure to bring a light jacket and gloves. It gets cold REALLY fast! 3. If your supervisor asks you to stay later and help, accept it if possible. It shows dedication plus it's more $$$! 4. Expect holidays and events like Black Friday to have you stay for a 10-12 hour shift. This Black Friday, I worked from 8-6. 5. Wear comfortable shoes! I can't stress that enough! 6. Have fun, and do your best! Welcome to the Target family!
