Working at Total Quality Logistics (TQL) 1, 149 Reviews 1

Total Quality Logistics (TQL) Employee Reviews. The typical day at TQL is very fast paced with little to no breaks. I learned how to: work at a fast pace all day, multi-task, develop a strong sales pitch, account management. The hardest part of the job was generating quality leads that were available to prospect. The culture is a fun, fast paced, and young culture. The most enjoyable part of the job is working in a fun and friendly atmosphere. I have routinely evaluated and developed my office leadership attributes to bring energy, a competitive mindset of daily improvement, and adaptability to a fast paced work environment. I commend your efforts in finding the best hire to fill your organization’s hiring needs. Once you review not only the quantity, but the quality of my experience in all aspects of business I needed to become successful, you will be confident in moving forward filling your position. At TQL, I quickly found personal success breaking multiple office records. Through prospecting, building customer & carrier rapport, assessing needs, developing solutions, analyzing market trends, negotiations, coordinating shipments, ext., I closed the most New Customer Accounts in a single Week, Month, and Quarter (no overlap). I routinely evaluated and adjusted, until my complex, demanding, 24/7/365 position became a simple successful and precise operation. Within my first year, I accepted the opportunity to be 1 of 6 Founding Members of a satellite office in the Chicago suburbs with the goal of leading an increased number of new hires turned into successful brokers. Along with managing my book of business, I was promoted to Sales Team Leader, responsible for managing the growth and success of half the office's employees. Each week, I lead one on one coaching sessions to build rapport with each individual team member, find their target gap to map out their next step to success, set achievable goals to take that next step to success, and keep team members motivated to bring energy every day to the workplace. more. When needed, I did have tough conversations to hold team members accountable. Each week I reported my team's progress, incentive programs, and innovative ideas to Corporate Executives. In 2016 & 2017, all 5 of TQL’s Chicago offices awarded me Sales Team Player of The Year. After 4 years of being at the office 7 days a week, 365 days a year, and on call 24 hours a day, it was time to venture into the next chapter of my life and devote my passion to a career with a better work/life balance. At the end of my tenure, the office had grown to 60+ brokers. My team held the highest New Hire to Successful Broker ratio out of 100 of company teams nationwide. All while managing my $500,000+ in Yearly Revenue ($2.5m in Sales per Year), organically built, Book of Business. less.
