Highly suggest females don’t work here. It would be a waste of your time. Absolutely love this company! Great pay! Great benifits! Great Culture! I’ve encountered too many disrespectful peers. Unwillingness to train. Toxic work environment. JB Hunt barely gives raises (1-4%) and they spread management very thin, burning them out as a result, and having a very high turnover. They are also a billion dollar company that gives back next to nothing. I'm getting much less miles and pay per week than promised, boss is a pushover to sales people. I'm a female Driver, my Immediate supervisor is female, her Boss is male. There could be more females in our Trucks and Offices but I think we are beating the industry average, I was the only lady in my orientation class, but they made sure I felt welcome. I'm paid the same rate as my male peers. Wouldn't recommend unless your welling to make pennies on the dollar for your skill set. No paid adoptive leave. Very hard to change things at a company wide level. Love my department. Not thrilled about the company as a whole. Don't work here if you are a woman. Very limited opportunities to move up in positions that aren't typically occupied by women. Lots of HR violations in Ops and they will find a way to get rid of you if you report. After working for JB Hunt for 2 years, I find that they are an equal opportunity employer that really supports the home life/work balance. As a woman starting my career, I feel I am given the same opportunities as any of the men and promotions are very much merit based. With transportation being a male-dominated industry, I was not expecting such equality and respect having previously worked for a more discriminatory company. I'm beyond pleased with JB Hunt and the care they take of all their employees and especially the women. Definitely a boys club and they make sure you know it.
