You are here. Secondary Navigation. MANAGEMENT TRAINEE PROGRAM. Since 1999, DHL Global Forwarding in Hong Kong has been offering a management trainee program for fresh graduates who wish to embark on a career in the logistics industry. This is a 3-year structured, rotational, career development program that provides you with opportunities to work and cross train in various departments within the logistics business. It will also provide you with solid grounding in relevant industry knowledge, management skills and set a strong foundation for you to develop your career with us. The Program commences in July 2018. Applications are now open and the application deadline is 15th February 2018. The three-year program is specially designed for all recent university graduates. Suitable candidates will be offered a structured career development program covering: One month Induction & Training This is to help you understand the background of the Company and become familiar with different department operations. Departmental Postings & Work Assignments You will rotate through three different departments in order to learn about the department operations and broaden your understanding of our business. Depending on the company’s requirements and your work performance, such postings may last for one year. Typical postings will cover different aspects of the business, such as Freight Management, Logistics Operations and Business Development. Through these postings, you will obtain a strong foundation in all-round supply chain management and general management skills and knowledge. After Completing the Program Depending on individual performance, development opportunities and further advancement to managerial positions will be available for trainees with outstanding performances and capabilities to progress further along their career ladder. To apply for the Management Trainee Program, you should possess the following qualities: Recent university graduate from any discipline. Keen interest in pursuing a career in Supply Chain Management. Diligent and willing to work during irregular hours (including holiday shifts). Good interpersonal and analytical skills. Good command of spoken and written English and Chinese. Self-motivated and open-minded. Be willing to be relocated to Mainland China or other countries for long- or short-term assignments. Mentoring You will be assigned to an experienced mentor to help you integrate into the Company and provide you with guidance throughout the three-year program. Training and Development DHL will provide you with both on-the-job training, in-house training as well as external training. Courses will be focused on the solid knowledge and management skills required in the daily operations. Future Career Opportunities Upon successful completion of the Program, you will be placed to a variety of departments and locations, taking into consideration your professional knowledge, competencies, career aspirations, as well as the requirements of the Company. Different Culture Integration You will have chance to communicate and work with staff from different culture in a challenging and diversified environment which let you grow rapidly. Overseas Assignment You will be provided opportunity to expose to a variety of overseas offices, subject to your career aspirations and DHL’s business need.
