Sound knowledge of Air, Sea and Land transport, INCOTERMS 2000. Knowledge and use of computerised PSCM systems (e.g, MS AX, SAP, Maximo, Amos, etc). Training on the company specific system will be given as required. Job Description. Definition The role of the Materials & Logistics Planner is to provide efficient logistics planning and management of material and services in liaison with operations and vessel management teams, including shipboard management. The post holder shall operate in liaison with the Project teams for all Logistics planning activities related to vendors and sub-contractor suppliers. To be the Key PSCM liaison between other Supply chain Management disciplines, supplier’s logistics agents, our Logistics agents, project team, Vessel Ops and other departments, to support Project and Operations Materials & Logistics Planning and execution. Liaison with Suppliers, Sub-Contractors and marine personnel with respect to the supply of materials and deliveries. Monitoring of shipment delivery dates and subsequent scheduling of further transport; Mobilisation/ Demobilisation of equipment, including liaison with marine equipment management companies, harbour activities, freight agents/stevedores and anchor handling vessels. Together with the Procurement Team, responsible for ensuring that all necessary marine equipment is supplied in time, and suitably tested and certified before delivery; Assisting with planning and material co-ordination for mobilisations/ demobilisations; Responsibilities Responsibilities also include, but are not limited, to the following: Actively promote and champion the use of best practise to ensure compliance with the organisation’s policies and procedures. Planning and expediting Materials & logistics requirements Support the Logistics team with the identification and recording of items to be included in the company assets register Ensuring suppliers are aware of any special requirements in respect of shipment/ handling of hazardous goods; Monitoring safe receipt of goods by obtaining confirmation of delivery; Participation in audits as required; The post holder will be expected to travel as required both locally and internationally.
