Relocation is the right thing to do with the economic climate and IL and the lack of incentives offered to employers to stay. Communication has been poor; however, we are in a transitional period and I have seen evidence of improvement. Advice to Management. Communicate, communicate, communicate. "Good to Great to Bad to Worst" I worked at Neovia Logistics Services full-time (More than 5 years) The 3PL business has great growth, challenging opportunities. Good run over the years under CAT in an environment working towards common goals focused on customer service, growth, and becoming supply chain experts. That no longer exists so the pro here is glad got out when did. Company actions and direction changed after new leadership brought in by Platinum. Values went by the wayside. Upper management quickly took on every man for himself approach -- even some of the legacy CAT leadership to much disappointment. Experienced resources delivering key projects and services for clients quickly started leaving the company when it was announced the company was relocating 1000 miles away. No ownership for a key Initiative to create new product and services with cutting edge technology. No business ownership as business "ownership" changed many times in same year with no accountability. Europe IT leadership drove away much of the experienced talent as there was little collaboration as Managers made decisions counter to supporting initiative ("every man for himself" mentality) and took deliberate actions to not communicate and participate. No support from leadership + all company projects were on fire + no business owner accountability + experienced staff left or leaving + CTO people strategy focused on lowest cost rather than delivering = worst project ever. Cutting out the bonus pay program was not a good move when trying to rebuild an organization and company to retain and hire. Advice to Management. Assessment why people left and are leaving the company. There will be another wave after the 2 year relocation agreements expire. Be ready as many are just riding it out while they can. Need leaders, not managers to lead the organization.
