ODW Logistics and Transportation Services (LTS), our Cincinnati-based transportation management group, was named to the 2013 Inc. 500/5000 list of fastest growing companies in the U.S. LTS was #289 on the list of fastest growing companies at a rate of 1,508% over a three year period. In addition, LTS was ranked at #10 in the Top 100 Logistics & Transportation categories. It was the seventh fastest growing company in Ohio and the second fastest growing company in Greater Cincinnati. ODW Logistics was recognized by two top industry publications for the company’s supply chain and logistics capabilities this past month. Food Logistics magazine named ODW Logistics as one of 2013’s Top 100 Food and Cold Storage Providers. This credential is given to industry leaders “whose products and services are critical for companies in the food and beverage supply chain, from food growers, producers and manufacturers to retail grocers, convenience markets and others.” This is the ninth year that ODW has been on the list. In addition, ODW was recognized as a 2013 Top 100 3PL Providers by Inbound Logistics magazine. Each year, the publication selects the top U.S. 3PLs and they are selected based on specific criteria and commitment to customer service based on submissions given to the magazine’s editors. Share this: Driving Job Creation in the Inland Empire – ODW Logistics Growing in Southern California. Chino, Calif. – ODW Logistics, Inc., a leading third-party logistics provider (3PL) of supply chain solutions in the Inland Empire, recently leased an additional 300,000 square foot warehouse facility in Ontario, bringing an estimated 25 jobs to the region. Since ODW Logistics acquired The Olson Company’s California warehouses in 2008, 50 additional jobs have been created at the existing Chino and San Bernardino facilities as business continues to grow for ODW. At a time when unemployment hovers around 10.5 percent in the Inland Empire, compared to the national rate of 7.6 percent, these jobs are relief to those in need of work. “We’re pleased that business growth has enabled us to lease more buildings and create more jobs for residents in the area,” said Bob Gjerde, Regional Vice President of Operations. “We aspire to work towards continued growth as we onboard new clients and expand operations with our existing customer base.” In San Bernardino County alone, over 44,000 people are employed in the supply chain industry, and this is projected to grow. Since 2008, ODW Logistics has held operations in San Bernardino and Chino, employing over 100 associates on average. This upward trend of industry growth to the region is no surprise to the Inland Empire; conveniently located near the ports, ODW’s locations make it an ideal distribution point for products coming into the U.S. The warehouse in Ontario will serve as the new West Coast corporate offices for the organization; the location was a perfect choice to relocate from Chino to Ontario. “Ontario is easily accessible from major interstates surrounding Greater Los Angeles,” said Gjerde. “We have the ability to conduct business with our satellite locations with convenient access to airports, and it gives us additional office and conferencing space.” ODW Logistics is a privately-held company that offers asset and non-asset based options, offering personal service to a variety of customers ranging from international Fortune 500 companies to locally owned and managed businesses.
