Trainings, Logistics Cluster

Logistics coordinator training. Welcome to the Logistics Cluster Training Programme! Trainings are an integral component of capacity building and preparedness activities and are necessary to maximise the use and benefit of common logistics services facilitated by the Logistics Cluster. The Logistics Cluster operates through various actors, therefore a common and comprehensive training programme is critical to ensure interoperability among organisations. The primary objective of the Logistics Cluster training programme is to enhance the capacity of deployed staff and of the wider humanitarian community, in order to increase the efficiency of humanitarian logistics operations. We aim to reach a broad audience, targeting humanitarian logisticians and information management professionals at the local, national and international levels. Click here for an overview of trainings done in January to June 2018. The Logistics Cluster training package addresses identified competency gaps with sustainable and long-term solutions. Following the training path illustrated in the diagram on the left, humanitarians and officials from National Disaster Management Agencies/Offices (NDMA/O) will progressively obtain skills and qualifications necessary to work with the Logistics Cluster, increasingly taking on more responsibilities. Trainees who successfully complete the mandatory training courses will be able to apply to the Logistics Cluster Rapid Response Roster. For more information on the available trainings, please read the Logistics Cluster Training Catalogue or simply browse through these pages.
