Which is the best book for supply chain management

Best logistics books. If you are looking for a brief overview of Supply Chain Management or Operations, then ' Introduction to Materials Management ' by Tony Arnold , Stephen Chapman & Lloyd Clive would fit the bill. It gives you a basic understanding of different concepts of Supply Chain like forecasting, planning, MRP, ERP, Lean etc. It is also a reference book for BSCM module of APICS CPIM certification (it was when I took the exam) If you are looking for a deeper understanding of the various concepts, then you might like to look at ' Designing And Managing The Supply Chain ' by David Simchi Levi , & Philip Kaminsky . However, if you are looking for a specific topic, there are other books. Value Stream Mapping - To learn about value stream mapping, ' Learning to See ' by John Shook , & Mike Ruther is a very good book. It explains value stream mapping in an easy to understand way. Theory of Constraints - To learn about Theory of Constraints, ' The Goal ' by Eli Goldratt is considered to be a very good book (haven't read it, but it is mentioned in several forums, and in other answers also). Lean Management - For an introduction to lean management techniques, ' The Machine That Changed the World ' by James Womack , & Daniel Jones is a good book.
