APICS—The Educational Society for Resource Management is a not-for-profit, international, educational organization. It aims to be the premier provider of information and services in production, inventory management and related areas to enable members, enterprises, and individuals to add value to their business performance. American Society of Transportation and Logistics. AST&L's members include shippers, carriers, educators, and third-party providers, all dedicated to continuing education and committed to raising industry professional standards. Council of Logistics Management. CLM is focused on developing, advancing, and disseminating logistics knowledge. The association identifies and conducts research that adds to the knowledge base of logistics theory and practice, and creates awareness of logistics' significance to business and the economy. Council on Safe Transportation of Hazardous Articles. COSTHA aims to provide safety in hazardous materials transportation. Members get current information about transportation regulations and changes, with analysis from experts in the field. Institute for Supply Management. ISM is a not-for-profit association that aims to lead the supply management profession through its standards of excellence, research, promotional activities, and education. ISM's membership base includes more than 45,000 supply management professionals with a network of domestic and international affiliated associations. International Society of Logistics. SOLE is a non-profit international professional society organized to enhance the art and science of logistics technology, education and management. Chapters conduct technical meetings, symposia and workshops, all designed to provide members with opportunities for professional advancement. For more than 50 years, NASSTRAC has been serving the interests of shippers. Throughout that time, it has developed programs and services to meet the changing needs of its members. National Industrial Transportation League. NITL, one of the largest professional freight transportation associations in the nation, aims to assist members in their daily responsibilities and help them advance their professional status and development in the industry. Supply-Chain Council. The Supply-Chain Council's membership is primarily practitioners representing a broad cross-section of industries, including manufacturers, services, distributors, and retailers. The Supply-Chain Council developed The Supply-Chain Operations Reference-model (SCOR) as the cross-industry standard diagnostic tool for supply chain management. For more than 60 years, SMC3 has been helping motor carriers, shippers, and 3PLs operate effectively through the rapidly-changing environment of freight transport. Members have the opportunity to attend educational seminars, make software recommendations, and receive special pricing on SMC3 products and services. Warehousing Education and Research Council. WERC is focused exclusively on warehouse management. The association aims to provide practical, how-to information to help members grow professionally as they improve warehouse and company performance. ASSOCIATIONS FOR SERVICE PROVIDERS. American Trucking Associations. The mission of ATA is to serve and represent the interests of the trucking industry with one united voice; to advance trucking's image, efficiency, competitiveness, and profitability; to provide educational programs and industry research; and to promote highway and driver safety. Intermodal Association of North America. IANA represents the combined interests of the intermodal freight industry, and works to promote the benefits of intermodal transportation to the shipping community. The International Warehouse Logistics Association. IWLA serves third-party logistics providers throughout North America. It provides resources, education and professional programs to advance members' businesses and provide greater value for their customers. Transportation Intermediaries Association. TIA exclusively represents transportation intermediaries of all disciplines doing business in domestic and international commerce.
