Logistics Analyst. Requisition ID 2018-37110 Job Function Program Management Security Clearance Level Top Secret Full/Part Time Full Time Job Locations USA-VA-Fairfax. Installs, configures, troubleshoots, and maintains server configurations (hardware and software) to ensure their confidentiality, integrity, and availability. Manages accounts, firewalls, and patches. Responsible for access control, passwords, and account creation and administration . Responsible for setting up and maintaining a system or specific components of a system (e.g. for example, installing, configuring, and updating hardware and software; establishing and managing user accounts; overseeing or conducting backup and recovery tasks; implementing operational and technical security controls; and adhering to organizational security policies and procedures). Logistics Analyst. Plan and track the shipment of equipment according to DHS requirements. Receive shipments and store shipments/packages for pickup. Utilize logistics IT to optimize procedures. Recommend optimal transportation modes, routing, equipment, or frequency. Recruit and coordinate logistics staff according to availabilities and requirements. Supervise orders and arrange stocking of equipment to ensure they meet needs. Prepare accurate reports for upper management. Knowledge of laws, regulations and ISO requirements. Implement specific DHS requirements, such as internal reporting or customized transportation metrics or containers; ship packages containing lithium batteries. Participate in carrier management processes, such as selection, qualification, or performance evaluation. Ensure carrier compliance with company policies or procedures for product transit or delivery. Communicate freight transportation information to customers, employees or suppliers, using transportation management, electronic logistics marketplace, or electronic freight information systems, to improve efficiency, speed, or quality of transportation services. Additional Requirements: This position could possibly be designated as critical to agency operations and may be required to be deployed as part of an Emergency Relocation Group (ERG) in conjunction with COOP deployment or emergency activation team. Active Top Secret Security Clearance with SCI eligibility is required. In addition, must be able to obtain and maintain a favorably adjudicated DHS background investigation for continued employment. Certifications: One or more of the following Certification(s): None. Bachelors Degree in a related discipline, or the equivalent combination of education, professional training, or work/military experience. 2-5 years of related experience in logistics, traffic and/or supply chain management.
