Logistics assistants provide administrative support to all levels of their organization. Their responsibilities may include high-level administrative tasks, reception duties, customer service tasks, and maintaining the general needs of the office. They arrange staff meetings, maintain managers' calendars, and manage travel details. Logistics assistants may also compile reports, assist with creating presentations with co-workers, organize and maintain records, ensure the office is clean, and keep the break room stocked and clean. Additional tasks performed by logistics assistants also schedule and assist with company meetings and events, arrange logistics for meetings and events, and assist in making travel arrangements such as flights and hotel reservations. They may be asked to oversee the replacement of broken office equipment, as well as collect, sort, and distribute mail. Logistics assistants also organize company bulletin boards, and they may manage memberships and renewals for retailers such as Costco and Sam’s Club. General office planning, such as maintaining a list of staff birthdays, may be part of the requirements for this position as well.
