ECTA, European Chemical Transport Association , gathers European Land Transport Companies with the aim to improve the standards of efficiency, safety and quality as well as the environmental and social impact of the transport and logistics of chemical goods in Europe. Join us now! New ECTA Management Team announced to further strengthen the liaison with its stakeholders. Following the unexpected loss of the ECTA Managing Director, Marc Twisk, end of July, the ECTA Board decided to further strengthen the ECTA management team by splitting the former Managing Director role of Mark Twisk into a new ECTA Responsible Care Coordinator role focused on the Responsible Care topics and an ECTA Managing Director role focused on the General Management and any other “non Responsible Care” matters within ECTA. To ensure continuity, the Responsible Care position was immediately filled in August by Evert de Jong, ECTA Responsible Care Coordinator. Evert is a long-standing member of ECTA's Technical & Responsible Care Committee and brings to the ECTA team the Heath, Safety, Security and Quality Expertise from his current HSSEQ job at the De Rijke Group. Evert de Jong is envisaged to continue his leading ECTA Responsible Care role after his retirement from De Rijke early 2017. Since November 1, Peter Devos has been appointed as new ECTA, Managing Director and this after an extensive career in Chemical production, Supply Chain and logistics at Monsanto. Dolores Guion, ECTA Deputy Managing Director , remains the first line of contact for all the ECTA members and other stakeholders from both inside and outside the association. Going forward Peter Devos, ECTA Managing Director, Evert de Jong, ECTA Responsible Care Coordinator and Dolores Guion, ECTA Deputy Managing Director form the new ECTA management team working closely together with the ECTA’s president, Andreas Zink and the ECTA board members.
