The columns are a primary structural member normally used in a vertical position on a building to transfer loads from main roof beams, trusses or rafters to the foundation. A primary beam supporting the roof lands. 3 - Wind bracing. Rods, or other structural members used in roof and walls to transfer loads such as wind loads, seismic and crane to the foundation. Also used to plumb the building during erection. A horizontal secondary structural member bolted to the rafters which transfers the roof loads to the rafters or main frames. A horizontal secondary structural member attached to sidewall or endwall columns to which wall covering is attached and supported horizontally. 6 - Roof panel. Astron supplies different types of wall systems. The choice of one or the other type depends on criteria such as aesthetics, technical considerations, etc. In addition, Astron offers an inside wall sheeting which can be perforated to improve acoustical absorption. 7 - Wall panel. Astrotherm insulation consists of a fibre glass blanket with a laminated vapour barrier. Isoblocs significantly reduce thermal bridges and Alustrip improves the overall appearance of the insulation joints. 9 - Eave gutter. The eave gutters are installed at the eave of the roof for the purpose of carrying water from the roof into the drains via the downspouts. 10 - Monovent. The monovent is mounted on the building ridge to allow air circulation. 11 - Circular vent. The circular vent is mounted on the building ridge to allow air circulation. 12 - Vehicle access door. Specially designed doors are available for all Astron buildings. These doors are of high quality and offer various colour design, and a wide variety of equipment options are also available. 13 - Single door. For windows and other wall openings Astron provides decorative wall frames on the outside, especially designed to our wall systems and offering good acoustical and thermal performance. 15 - Skylight. To maintain structural integrity and weathertightness, specially designed skylights are available for all Astron roof systems. Astron engineered roof systems provide an integrated effective daylighting solution for your project. 16 - Canopy. An overhanging or projecting roof structure with the extreme end usually unsupported. 17 - Parapets. That portion of the vertical wall which extends the roof line. 18 - Crane beams. The crane rail beams are made from hot-rolled profiles; generally they are supported by crane brackets. The crane rail beams can be made as simple supported or as continuous beams. 19 - Bridge crane. A load lifting system consisting of a hoist which moves laterally on a beam, girder or bridge which in turn normally moves longitudinally on a runway made of beams and rails. Loads can be moved to any point within a rectangle formed by the bridge span and runway length. 20 - Mezzanine. Astron buildings allow the integration of mezzanines; these can be installed in any part or over the whole building and generally have only one floor. Several mezzanine systems are available: metal decking, precast concrete panels, hollow core concrete slaps available. Where necessary, special solutions for the construction will be incorporated. The system solution includes all the parts of the supporting structure, as well as a variety of different roof and wall systems. Set standardised dimensions do not exist. Canopies, overhanging roof sections and parapets add an architectural accent. A large number of accessories complement the product range. By combining the individual products in various ways and integrating construction materials such as brickwork, timber and glass, it is possible to constantly construct new, customised buildings.
