(Image source: Integrated Logistics Company) Kuwait’s Integrated Logistics Company has expanded its fleet with the arrival of 24 new Grove all-terrain cranes. The Grove additions will help to serve the projects in the region, particularly from the petrochemical, oil and gas industry, the company said. The cranes in this order include 10 GMK4100L, 10 GMK5130-2, two GMK6300L and two GMK6400 models. The majority of new purchases will be sent to work in Kuwait on refineries. Jassim Mustafa Boodai, Integrated Logistics Company chairman and managing director, said that his company has to rapidly expand its lifting fleet to meet the market demand, especially in the oil and gas industry where high output levels requires lots of support work for cranes at production facilities. “We have achieved substantial growth in our company and as a result we are purchasing more Manitowoc cranes to capitalise on the growing work levels in the oil and gas market. “By expanding our fleet and developing our relationship with Manitowoc, we have established Integrated as a rental market leader in Kuwait. We plan to continue adding more cranes and growing the company to keep up with the fast-changing market and to meet future demands.” The 100-tonne capacity GMK4100L has a 60-metre boom as do the 130-tonne GMK5130-2 and the 400-tonne GMK6400. The latter has the self-rigging MegaWingLift attachment for greater lifting capability, particularly when the boom is working at a steep angle. Capacity of the GMK6300L is 300 tonnes and its again 60 metres, main boom, helps towards achieving a maximum tip height of 113 metres when working with its full complement of jib attachments. Waleed Raouf, Manitowoc Cranes Middle East regional sales manager, added, “This sale is significant for Manitowoc because it cements our relationship with Integrated and further strengthens our market-leading position as the number one supplier of all terrain cranes in Kuwait.”
